I am also using these as Temari Ball stands. Temari is a form of Japanese embroidery done on a hand made ball . These are perfect because they are balanced ,and raise the ball up from whatever surface they are being. displayed on .

I use these stands for displaying Japanese Temari balls. I used to get them from an embroidery shop until about 4 years ago when they discontinued them. Very disappointed. Searched and couldn't find any. But then I didn't know how to describe them. A friend found these on Amazon. I ordered them and they are identical to the ones I purchased from an embroidery shop years ago. Very pleased with the customer service. Shipped the day I ordered them.
